Across the Pond by Bettina Havig
Historic quilts, most in the medallion style surrounded by frames (the British term for borders), are the design inspiration for the eight quilt projects included in this book. They also reflect Bettina’s love of hand-quilting, with the inclusion of many traditional quilting motifs. Each project is named for a place or experience in Bettina’s travels. Also included are instructions to make a Victorian Etui, a folding portable sewing kit made by ladies but also by soldiers and seaman in the 19th century.
